Terravita - Scottsdale

Terravita 10th holeLocated in North Scottsdale with desert appeal, Terravita is a guarded and gated community with a private golf club (membership not required). It was developed in late 1993 by Del Webb and includes 1380 homes on 823 acres of land.

It's a first-class lifestyle without the price tag. Home prices range today are between $250,000 to $1 million and homeownership includes limited membership to Terravita Country Club.
Excellent views include emerald green fairways, desert landscaping, the stunning Black Mountain along with enloying quite desert living.
Here are the current Terravita listings with very few distressed properties available. The community has weathered the real estate market turmoil quite well. Why consider buying in this community? Because property values should rebound better when the real estate market gets right-sided...

More About Scottsdale
Widely known as the country’s premier destination for golf, Scottsdale is located in eastern Maricopa County in the Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale metro area. The Robb Report named Scottsdale as America's Best Place to Live for Golf. The city is home to 240,410 residents and was voted the Most Livable Place in America. The population is fairly diverse with a low population density at 1,236 people per square mile.

The typical resident is 41 years old, well educated, married, travels 24 minutes to work, and earns a household income of $60,057. Of all Scottsdale residents aged 25 and older, 44% have a bachelor's degree or higher. Also in Scottsdale is Arizona’s Most Excelling School District with 21 out of 33 public schools rated as "excelling" by the Arizona Department of Education.

Neighborhoods
The city is roughly divided into four sectors: the Shea Corridor, Old Town, South Scottsdale and North Scottsdale. The Shea Corridor is in central Scottsdale, and features homes from the 70s with increasing value and near many resorts. This has gained the street the nickname Resort Corridor.  Located downtown is Old Town, which is full of stores, restaurants, nightclubs and art galleries, making it Scottsdale's main cultural district. Old Town also houses the high-end Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall, among the 20 largest malls in the nation. New and luxury homes are found in North Scottsdale, where new developments reach into the east and west of the McDowell Mountain range. The boom of development in this area is due to its proximity to Scottsdale Airpark, a major business center with 55,000 employees, 2,600 businesses and 23 million square feet of offices.

Recreation
In addition to its fame for golf, Scottsdale earns the national recognition as an ideal destination for relaxation with the country’s highest number of resort spas per capita. In total, Scottsdale houses over 200 courses, ranging from traditional rolling green fairways to desert golf designs. Travel & Leisure Golf Magazine named the Boulders Resort & Golden Spa and Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North as the 2nd and 4th best golf resorts in the United States.
